📋 Description

• Take charge of the entire hiring process — establish ambitious goals, create a talent pipeline, and finalize the hiring of engineers who meet a high standard.

• Expand the team from its founding members into a high-achieving organization.

• Define excellence: set the standards for interviews, establish a benchmark, and determine the expectations the team must meet.

• Create the structure and culture necessary for a rapidly growing team as it evolves.

• Oversee and organize the technical roadmap, making key prioritization and build-vs-buy decisions that support Leap's growth.

• Develop the cross-benefit drug identity layer that integrates a single specialty therapy across NDC and HCPCS/J-codes as biosimilars increase.

• Deliver causal savings attribution that demonstrates actual impact rather than mere projections — an ROI that can withstand an audit by employers.

• Construct the intervention engine and AI workflows — including at-risk prediction, prior authorization, and formulary and site-of-care optimization — that translate analysis into actionable outcomes.

• Set the benchmark for how Leap develops: AI-driven, efficient, and accurate by default.

• Make crucial foundational data and architectural decisions that the entire roadmap relies upon.

• Remove obstacles for the team, make tough technical decisions, and engage deeply when necessary.

• You have built and scaled an engineering team from a small group into a high-performing organization — you have managed hiring, established standards, and secured outstanding engineers.

• You are AI-native: you have deployed AI systems in production utilizing LLMs and agents, and you guide teams that achieve similar results.

• You have maintained a high standard at organizations recognized for exceptional engineering — your history demonstrates your capabilities.

• You are a lean player-coach who leads from the front while retaining the technical expertise to make informed architectural decisions and manage the roadmap.

• You have implemented production systems using complex, real-world data — not just pristine benchmarks — and you prioritize accuracy, especially when errors can have significant consequences.
