This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take full ownership of the Business Intelligence function from start to finish, including managing the team, roadmap, and quality standards.
• Manage reporting data models throughout the organization and create common models that accurately depict products and processes.
• Integrate metadata into the product through AI- and human-readable descriptions for each model and metric.
• Maintain a reliable library of essential metrics and reference SQL implementations.
• Deliver consistent and precise models and definitions for the company.
• Prioritize a lengthy and evolving list of stakeholder requests and identify what needs immediate attention.
• Review BI outputs and uphold technical and quality standards.
• Enhance the team’s technical expertise and business understanding.
• Develop and align the team around high-impact modeling and metadata initiatives.
• Report directly to the Head of Business Acceleration.
• Travel to Asia 3–4 times a year and participate in biannual company onsite meetings.
• Over 7 years of experience in data modeling, analytics engineering, or business intelligence.
• More than 3 years of direct experience in people management.
• Proven experience leading analysts or analytics engineers and overseeing the quality of their work.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL.
• Skilled in using AI coding tools.
• Practical expertise in data modeling, dbt, and modern data warehouse technologies.
• Capability to read and evaluate dbt work produced by highly skilled BI Developers.
• Familiarity with dimensional modeling and semantic layers.
• Proficiency in creating accurate reporting models that remain reliable over time.
• Experience collaborating with business stakeholders to develop shared reporting data models.
• Ability to manage competing and evolving demands from multiple stakeholders.
• Experience overseeing metric definitions, metadata, or a shared metric library.
• Proven track record in developing talent while ensuring speed and accuracy.
• Capacity to enforce quality standards through code reviews instead of completing the work personally.
