This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.
• Develop and take charge of LemFi's market entry strategy for the LATAM region, focusing on Mexico, Colombia, Guatemala, and the Dominican Republic concurrently, while also exploring additional new markets, utilizing data to validate prioritization and swiftly adapting to changes.
• Establish initial distribution partnerships with banks, fintech companies, and payment processors to provide LemFi access to new customer segments, compliance frameworks, and local payment infrastructures.
• Maneuver through remittance licensing, foreign exchange regulations, stablecoin classifications, and KYC/AML localization in each market, collaborating with legal and compliance teams to proactively pave the way forward.
• Set and achieve key performance indicators: partners onboarded, regulatory approvals secured, and initial revenue cohorts activated - focusing on meaningful outcomes rather than merely pipeline volume or activity.
• Leverage AI tools to streamline research processes - analyzing the competitive and regulatory landscape, uncovering partner insights, and constructing a market prioritization model based on data rather than intuition.
• Act as LemFi's representative in the market, engaging with partners, regulators, and other stakeholders, serving as the face of the company in a region where trust and relationships are paramount.
• Demonstrated success in 0-to-1 market entry specifically within LATAM - focusing on Mexico, Colombia, Guatemala, and the Dominican Republic, with tangible evidence of navigating regulatory and compliance challenges.
• Extensive knowledge of remittance licensing, foreign exchange regulations, stablecoin policies, and KYC/AML localization across at least two LATAM countries.
• Proven experience in securing distribution partnerships with banks, fintechs, or payment processors - having finalized agreements rather than merely creating presentations.
• Ability to operate across multiple markets at once while maintaining focus and attention to detail.
• Experience in dynamic, resource-constrained environments where processes are not pre-established, and you are expected to create them.
• Strong commercial acumen to make decisive prioritization choices, supported by data to justify every decision made.
• Proficiency in both Spanish and English; knowledge of Portuguese is an advantage.
