This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Identify, cultivate, and sustain relationships with vessel owners, marine operators, contractors, and governmental entities.
• Create new sales opportunities while ensuring a steady pipeline of shipyard repair and industrial fabrication projects.
• Formulate territory and client engagement strategies to enhance DSR’s market footprint.
• Act as the primary external representative for DSR with potential clients and industry collaborators.
• Track industry trends, vessel movements, shipyard and facility capacities, and regional demands to uncover potential opportunities.
• Collect and assess market data, customer feedback, and competitive intelligence to guide strategic business choices.
• Partner with DSR operations, estimating, and leadership teams to craft competitive proposals and service offerings.
• Establish and uphold a structured CRM system to monitor leads, outreach, proposals, and project opportunities.
• Record business development activities and maintain transparency into the sales pipeline and anticipated backlog.
• Represent DSR at trade exhibitions, industry conferences, and networking gatherings.
• Over 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or client relationship management, ideally within maritime, shipyard, marine services, or heavy industrial domains.
• Exhibit strong relationship-building capabilities and the ability to foster trust with customers and industry stakeholders.
• Be highly motivated and adept at working independently in a role that necessitates initiative and proactive engagement.
• Possess the skills to translate customer requirements into actionable shipyard and fabrication service opportunities.
• Maintain organization and discipline in managing a sales pipeline and tracking business development efforts.
• Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills, including the capacity to represent the company at industry functions.
• Familiarity with CRM tools and market analysis is preferred.
• A background in shipyard and fabrication operations, marine repair, vessel operations, or heavy steel fabrication is strongly desired.
