This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Netherlands.
• Spearhead BSI’s initiatives in establishing conformity assessment activities for manufacturers and service providers to validate compliance with the evolving EU AI Regulations.
• Act as a representative and global leader for BSI in significant AI technical forums across Europe and internationally.
• Ensure that personnel within the notified body uphold the necessary level of expertise and rigor.
• Confirm that pertinent policies, procedures, and documentation fulfill AI regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with the GRC team on competency qualifications, professional development, and decision-making regarding certifications.
• Shape and articulate BSI Group’s AI and Machine Learning regulatory business strategy in conjunction with Marketing and Innovations.
• Lead efforts to secure AI Notified Body status within the EU.
• Direct the development and execution of processes and procedures for compliance with EU AI Regulations and for the designation and accreditation of notified bodies.
• Establish qualification criteria for all roles in partnership with the GRC Professional Development team.
• Guide the team in adhering to AI notified-body processes and procedures.
• Offer expert regulatory guidance to the broader Group and its clients.
• Mentor and support the NL team with regards to the Designating Authority.
• Assist the UK Approved Body and other international regulatory initiatives.
• Identify opportunities for improvement in business processes.
• Maintain a consistent output in the Certification Process in collaboration with the C&R, Operations, and Professional Development teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in a field pertinent to AI and/or from a target industry sector.
• Comprehensive understanding of current and proposed AI regulations globally, with a particular focus on the EU AI regulatory framework.
• Familiarity with business processes and the application of quality management standards.
• Extensive technical knowledge of industry products within the focal area.
• Strong conceptual and analytical thinking capabilities, along with a focus on efficiency and results.
• General understanding of business principles and operational practices (commercial awareness).
• Ability to comprehend and interpret legislation and contribute to policy formation.
• Leadership and influencing abilities in a team context.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and persuasive skills.
• Capacity to function effectively with both horizontal and vertical reporting structures.
