This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Build, recruit, and mentor a top-performing team of Applied AI Engineers.
• Take ownership of the department's charter, ROI performance, and adherence to technical best practices.
• Manage and ensure the technical success of agentic AI deployments, making certain that systems are HIPAA-compliant, scalable, and seamlessly integrated with client EHR/EMR, CRM, and claims data systems.
• Serve as the primary technical executive for strategic enterprise accounts, converting complex business workflows into production-ready AI configurations.
• Collaborate with Sales and Growth teams to lead technical discovery, support high-ROI use cases, and enhance expansion/upsell opportunities within current accounts.
• Work together with Platform Engineering and Product teams to transform field-derived configuration patterns into reusable components and enhance platform capabilities.
• Supervise the development of robust data ingestion pipelines, real-time agent infrastructure, and output guardrails to ensure agent compliance and safety.
• Over 10 years of hands-on engineering and delivery leadership experience in high-stakes environments, demonstrating end-to-end ownership of outcomes.
• Strong foundational knowledge in backend and data systems, including APIs, real-time services, and scalable data pipelines (ETL/ELT, streaming).
• A technical degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with real-time and distributed systems, including event-driven architectures, WebSockets/streaming, and high-throughput production systems.
• Proven client-facing and team leadership abilities—leading enterprise engagements and high-caliber FDE teams; translating workflows into scalable, ROI-driven systems; excelling in environments that evolve from 0→1 and scaling.
• Business development expertise to play a vital role in 'land and expand' strategies across enterprise accounts.
• Significant startup experience throughout your career, playing a key role as a founding member or having a substantial impact in an early-stage startup (fewer than 150 employees).
