HCM Test Automation, Quality Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop, design, and implement thorough testing strategies and plans for Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM.

• Create and sustain automated test suites utilizing OATS, Selenium, or similar tools within the SAFe Agile delivery framework.

• Conduct parallel payroll validation testing against outputs from legacy systems and address variances prior to production cutover.

• Execute Section 508 accessibility testing in accordance with WCAG 2.1 AA standards.

• Organize User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with agency stakeholders, which includes scenario creation, tester training, defect triage, and tracking sign-offs.

• Design and carry out performance and load testing.

• Manage defect tracking using JIRA or similar tools, involving severity classification, root cause analysis, and trend reporting.

• Test integration interfaces with federal systems to ensure end-to-end data flow and error handling validation.

• Validate quarterly Oracle update deployments through targeted regression suites.

• Engage in SAFe Agile ceremonies and enhance continuous testing methodologies.

• Formulate and maintain test plans, test cases, traceability matrices, and execution summary reports.

• Independently resolve moderate functional and technical issues while consulting senior staff for complex challenges.

• Convey progress and technical strategies to project teams and stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• Ability to obtain and retain a Public Trust clearance is essential.

• US citizenship is a requirement.

• Bachelor’s degree along with 5 years of relevant experience; additional experience may compensate for the degree.

• Over 5 years of professional experience in software QA, test engineering, or test automation for enterprise applications.

• At least 3 years of practical experience with automation tools such as Selenium, OATS, Tricentis Tosca, or equivalents.

• Familiarity with functional, integration, regression, and performance testing for cloud-based enterprise applications, preferably Oracle Fusion Cloud or Oracle ERP Cloud.

• Proficient in JIRA, HP ALM, or Azure DevOps Test Plans.

• Strong grasp of SAFe Agile continuous testing practices, including TDD and shift-left strategies.

• Experience in coordinating UAT activities with business stakeholders, encompassing planning, execution, and defect triage.

• Exceptional analytical and communication abilities.

• Desired: Over 6 years of testing experience including at least one large-scale implementation of Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM or Oracle ERP Cloud.

• Desired: ISTQB Foundation or Advanced Level certification.

• Desired: Familiarity with JMeter, Gatling, or Oracle Load Testing.

• Desired: Experience conducting Section 508 accessibility testing using tools like ANDI, axe, or JAWS.

• Desired: Understanding of federal HR business processes, such as payroll, benefits administration, and personnel action workflows.

• Desired: Experience with parallel payroll validation methodologies and automated payroll comparison testing.

• Desired: Scripting abilities in Python, JavaScript, or Groovy.

• Desired: Knowledge of Oracle Cloud technologies, including OIC or OCI, within enterprise HCM or ERP environments.
