📋 Description

• Develop Cursor’s strategy for the public sector, encompassing market segmentation, prioritization, and entry strategies across federal, state, and local levels.

• Discover and implement high-impact business development opportunities, including strategic partnerships and non-traditional collaborations.

• Establish and cultivate relationships with key ecosystem stakeholders (system integrators, primes, resellers, cloud service providers).

• Design and negotiate intricate partnership agreements that enhance distribution and foster adoption.

• Collaborate closely with the sales team to support strategic accounts and facilitate high-value opportunities.

• Work alongside product and engineering teams to guide roadmap decisions based on public sector requirements (e.g., compliance, deployment models, security considerations).

• Examine market trends, competitive landscapes, and regulatory factors to shape long-term strategies.

• Assist in launching new go-to-market initiatives, pilots, and programs to experiment with and expand innovative approaches.


⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in strategy, business development, or partnerships within the public sector ecosystem.

• Comprehensive understanding of government markets, including procurement processes and the influence of partners.

• Experience collaborating with system integrators, primes, or cloud service providers in a go-to-market or partnership role.

• Demonstrated ability to structure and finalize complex, multi-party agreements.

• Highly strategic mindset coupled with the capability to execute and achieve results.

• Comfortable navigating early-stage, uncertain environments with a broad scope of responsibility.

• Strong cross-functional instincts and the ability to influence across sales, product, and leadership teams.

• A keen interest in AI, developer tools, or technical products is a significant advantage.
