• Take ownership of and propel Cursor’s SLED go-to-market strategy targeting state governments, local agencies, and public education institutions.
• Build, recruit, and manage a high-performing SLED sales team across various regions.
• Formulate and finalize strategic agreements while creating repeatable, scalable sales processes tailored to each region.
• Navigate diverse procurement pathways, including state contracts, cooperatives, and education purchasing procedures.
• Cultivate relationships with essential stakeholders across states, municipalities, school systems, and higher education institutions.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to synchronize roadmap priorities with SLED requirements (e.g., budget limitations, deployment flexibility, security considerations).
• Forge partnerships with resellers, regional partners, and ecosystem stakeholders to enhance outreach.
• Enforce pipeline discipline, forecasting, and operational accuracy to facilitate growth.
• You have experience in building and scaling SLED sales teams within a high-growth technology organization.
• Extensive experience in selling to state, local, and/or education markets, along with a robust network.
• A proven history of successfully closing complex deals across fragmented regions and various buyers.
• Strong comprehension of SLED procurement processes (e.g., state contracts, cooperatives, education purchasing).
• Experience collaborating with channel partners, resellers, or regional ecosystems.
• Comfort in navigating early-stage environments characterized by high ownership and ambiguity.
• A strong track record in leadership and recruitment.
• A keen interest in AI, developer tools, or highly technical products is highly desirable.
