• Lead and execute Cursor’s aerospace go-to-market strategy in the defense, space, and commercial aviation sectors.
• Build, recruit, and manage a high-performing sales organization focused on aerospace over time.
• Develop and finalize strategic agreements with agencies, prime contractors, and commercial aerospace firms.
• Navigate intricate procurement processes and lengthy sales cycles within both government and contractor environments.
• Establish and enhance relationships with key stakeholders, including defense contractors, system integrators, and partners.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to align roadmap priorities with aerospace needs (e.g., security, air-gapped deployments, compliance).
• Identify and implement strategic partnerships that foster distribution and adoption.
• Represent Cursor to senior stakeholders and at significant industry events.
• You have experience building and scaling aerospace, defense, or related vertical sales teams at a rapidly growing technology company.
• Extensive experience working with defense contractors, aerospace firms, or pertinent government agencies.
• A proven history of closing large, complex deals in regulated, high-stakes environments.
• Strong knowledge of procurement, compliance, and security requirements specific to aerospace and defense.
• An established network among primes, integrators, and/or key industry players.
• Comfortable working in early-stage environments characterized by high ownership and ambiguity.
• Demonstrated leadership and successful hiring experience.
• A keen interest in AI, developer tools, or highly technical products is a significant advantage.
