This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Formulate the go-to-market strategy for our latest opportunities – targeting new customer segments, launching new product lines, and initiating future partner collaborations.
• Develop a comprehensive understanding of customers and the market through primary research methods: engaging with customers, reviewing advisor calls, analyzing funnel data, and conducting competitive pricing evaluations.
• Take ownership of the go-to-market strategy for both new and existing customer segments, identifying our target audience, devising winning approaches, and understanding the drivers of profitable growth, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement that strategy.
• Identify which customer segments can be profitably pursued and prioritize our investment areas accordingly.
• Design and execute go-to-market experiments with a dedicated testing budget: validate segments, messaging, and channels at a small scale before committing to larger investments.
• Make decisive recommendations on what to scale, iterate, or discontinue – supported by data-driven insights.
• Create playbooks based on successful strategies so that the broader team can implement them, and then move on to the next opportunity.
• Enhance the positioning and perspective of our top-performing product line, collaborating closely with our content and paid teams.
• Incorporate the voice of the customer into our marketing efforts – grounded in research rather than assumptions.
• Coordinate launch readiness with Product, Sales, and Operations to ensure that new products are effectively supported by go-to-market strategies.
• Over time, develop context on our B2B2C partner programs to aid future partner launches.
• 4–6 years of experience in strategy consulting, investment banking, growth/strategy roles at high-growth startups, or brand/category management at a leading CPG company – ideally with some operational experience in a startup or scale-up environment.
• Outstanding analytical skills: you can structure ambiguous problems, build your own analyses, and translate them into clear recommendations. A proven track record of overcoming challenging problems and persevering until solutions are found is more important than direct experience in this exact role.
• Strong customer instincts: you prefer engaging with ten customers over relying on assumptions to build models – although you are also capable of creating those models.
• A proactive individual. You thrive on hands-on involvement in a company environment where delegation is not an option.
• AI-savvy: you leverage AI daily for research, analysis, and rapid output – and you elevate the team’s standards for utilizing these tools.
• Comfortable taking ownership of a metric and being evaluated against it each quarter.
• Exceptional communicator who can unify executives, channel leaders, and product teams around a common direction.
• No prior insurance experience needed – we will provide the industry knowledge; you bring your curiosity and dedication.
• Generous PTO - 20 vacation days.
• A comprehensive benefits package with premiums fully covered by PolicyMe.
• Investment in your professional growth, including a learning and development budget, AI tooling budget, biannual performance reviews, and continuous feedback to help you reach your full potential.
• An incredibly high-performing, low-ego, remote-first team that is genuinely transforming a traditional industry.
• Flexibility to work from home or our Toronto office (bonus: we cover expenses for all employees to meet in-person twice a year for experiential social events!).
• Access to stock options based on performance.
