This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Lead the creative generation of high-quality copy and content for Avalere Health and one or more clients.
• Collaborate with Creative (Art & Copy), Strategy, and Medical teams to create content for HCP and DTC audiences across multiple rare disease brands.
• Oversee and implement both long-form and short-form promotional and educational copy across various media and platforms.
• Craft engaging and precise content utilizing scientific and clinical data.
• Ensure alignment of copy with brand strategy and objectives.
• Reference and annotate content; prepare manuscripts with final annotations and references for internal submission.
• Act as a substitute for the ACD of Copy, alongside the ACD of Art, during the ACD of Copy's absence.
• Operate independently on various projects under tight deadlines.
• Foster client relationships and engage in direct problem-solving with clients.
• Create innovative concepts based on strategic guidance in collaboration with other Creatives.
• Present work internally as well as to clients.
• Manage internal and client feedback effectively.
• Review and provide markup on copy changes in layouts.
• Navigate the editorial process, client regulatory guidelines, and OPDP requirements.
• Collaborate with strategy, medical, client services, and broader team members to meet and exceed client expectations.
• Minimum of 7 years of combined copywriting experience in agency and pharmaceutical advertising.
• Required knowledge of both HCP and DTC work.
• At least 2 years of supervisory or management experience is necessary.
• Experience in writing for oncology or rare disease products is essential.
• Proven track record of independently producing successful, compelling, and strategically sound pharmaceutical promotional materials.
• A portfolio showcasing pharma agency work must be submitted alongside the resume.
• Strong collaboration skills with Art partners and an ability to think visually.
• Capable of critical thinking, making effective decisions, and creatively solving problems on the spot.
• Demonstrated proficiency in delivering quality work within tight deadlines.
• Possess a positive attitude and a goal-oriented mindset.
• Proven ability to generate on-brief creative concepts.
• Advanced Mac proficiency with MS Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Ability to comprehend scientific information adequately to produce clear and concise pharmaceutical and healthcare copy.
• Established experience in adding marginal annotations in medically intensive pieces for regulatory submissions.
