Grid Operations Expert

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Provide guidance to utility leaders regarding operational challenges, workforce capabilities, reliability, and system performance.

• Assess existing operations, focusing on processes, roles, and decision-making frameworks.

• Identify operational strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for enhancement.

• Outline and improve future business processes, operational standards, and readiness strategies.

• Review training materials and confirm that simulations align with real-world operational practices.

• Collaborate with internal project teams and client subject matter experts on plans, evaluations, and deliverables.

• Develop long-term client relationships while offering practical, experience-based recommendations.

• Act as a trusted advisor to assist utilities in enhancing operational performance and adapting to the demands of modern grids.

⛳️ Requirements

• Significant experience in electric distribution, transmission, or utility control center operations.

• Capability to evaluate operational performance and deliver practical, strategic recommendations.

• Understanding of utility operational roles, workflows, and decision-making processes.

• Familiarity with SCADA, OMS, and ADMS platforms, including ABB, OSI, GE, and Schneider Electric.

• Strong communication, facilitation, and consulting skills.

• Business and operational insight to align recommendations with organizational objectives.

• Experience in supporting training, modeling, or simulation development is a plus, although not a primary focus.

• Candidates must be residents of the United States.

• Willingness and ability to travel approximately 50–90% based on client and project requirements.
