Graphic Designer III

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.

📋 Description

• Create visual communication strategies for key projects.

• Oversee creative design, conceptualization, and production for project implementation.

• Collaborate independently and within cross-functional teams on strategic communication initiatives.

• Lead interdisciplinary design teams to ensure high-quality and consistent print and digital outputs.

• Design logos, signage, annual reports, advertisements, publications, branded materials, social media graphics, promotional materials for events, images, and motion graphics.

• Manage photo shoots and illustration projects.

• Collaborate with editors, writers, web and video specialists, and other stakeholders to create comprehensive creative solutions.

• Act as a brand ambassador, educating colleagues about creative resources and brand assets.

• Handle multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines and schedules.

• Contribute to creative concept presentations for leadership and various audiences.

• Ensure a harmonious balance of aesthetics and functionality in all materials.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or a related discipline.

• Four years of relevant experience.

• Submission of a portfolio is required.

• Further education may replace the required experience.

• Additional relevant experience may compensate for required education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, in accordance with the JHU equivalency formula.

• Proficient in using a Mac with Adobe Creative Suite and new technologies.

• Experience in web design.

• Experience with DSLR photography.

• Proficient in Project Management Software (Smartsheet).

• Knowledge of video production, including skills in After Effects and Adobe Premiere.

• Intermediate skills in animation.

• Intermediate skills in branding.

• Advanced skills in concept art.

• Intermediate proficiency in creative tools.

• Intermediate editing capabilities.

• Advanced graphic design expertise.

• Intermediate skills in needs assessment.
