Graphic Design Team Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Supervise the Graphic Design team at ONC

• Assign tasks to team leads and interns according to their strengths and expertise

• Offer guidance and support to team leads and interns

• Organize and prioritize design projects to ensure deadlines are achieved

• Deliver creative direction and constructive feedback

• Facilitate the development of design concepts in line with brand guidelines and mission

• Evaluate and approve design work for visual appeal, accuracy, and brand adherence

• Conduct regular design critiques to promote improvement and consistency

• Interact with ONC team members through Slack, email, and Zoom

• Lead weekly meetings for the Graphic Design Team

• Contribute to ONC’s mission of delivering nonpartisan news, opinions, and policy solutions

⛳️ Requirements

• Pursuing a degree in Visual/Fine Arts, Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or related fields

• Effective, responsive, and consistent communicator, even in challenging situations

• Motivated self-starter willing to take initiative and complete tasks

• Capability to work remotely and manage their own schedule to meet deadlines

• Proficient in Adobe Suite

• Experience with Canva is preferred

• Familiarity with Google Workspace is preferred

• Ability to participate in organization-wide meetings biweekly

• Competence in leading weekly Graphic Design Team meetings

• Must have authorization to intern in the U.S.
