Grants Payments Data Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Develop, sustain, and enhance forecasting models utilized beyond Medidata Payments.

• Collaborate with Central Planning and Clinical Operations teams to collect and analyze actuals and forecasts related to site and patient enrollment.

• Merge forecasting outputs with Medidata Payments projections for comprehensive planning of clinical site payments.

• Work alongside Revenue Recognition teams to ensure compliance with financial audits and regulatory requirements.

• Generate forecasting reports and deliverables that meet sponsor contractual obligations and are client-ready.

• Evaluate forecast performance, budget usage, and compare planned versus actual results to spot trends and potential risks.

• Inform Project Analysts and Global Project Leads about variances in over- and under-forecasts.

• Assist with study closeout by performing final payment reconciliations and producing client-ready financial reports.

• Play a role in process development and ongoing enhancement concerning clinical site payment forecasting and reporting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.

• 2–5 years of experience in finance.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Capability to interpret intricate financial and operational data.

• Familiarity with Excel, databases, and accounting systems.

• Knowledge of accounting principles and revenue recognition standards.

• Understanding of clinical site payment procedures and forecasting techniques.

• Skill in influencing, collaborating, and constructively challenging stakeholders across diverse teams.

• Experience in supporting audit requirements, financial reporting, and compliance-related tasks.

• Proficient in English.
