This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Serve as the point of contact for accounting departments to address accounting concerns and oversee the year-end process.
• Monitor and keep the online database updated with the statuses of grants that have been submitted, awarded, or rejected.
• Collaborate with principal investigators to manage funding and implement necessary budget adjustments.
• Validate purchasing documents and advise purchasing personnel on compliant expenditures according to grant policies.
• Revise and project grant expenditures for faculty grant portfolios.
• Oversee the execution of contracts and subcontracts, ensuring compliance with OSRS requirements.
• Draft and process communications with funding agencies, including requests for carry-forward, changes in effort, no-cost extensions, equipment purchases, and budget reallocations.
• Collect signatures and distribute grant financial status reports to principal investigators and upper management.
• Keep track of invoices for outgoing subawards.
• Facilitate both internal and external inquiries regarding grant-related information.
• Finalize grant accounts and submit closing progress reports and invention statements when necessary.
• Support departmental grant financial activities, such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, program budgeting, revenue reconciliation, financial reporting, and analysis.
• Aid in proposal submissions, the development of budgets and justifications, Other Support documents, compliance with report due dates, and the history of proposals and awards.
• A Bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience that meets the minimum educational criteria.
• A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
• Familiarity with the SUBS system is preferred.
• Understanding of agency guidelines is preferred.
• Experience in accounts processing and computerized accounting is required.
• Background in grant administration and grants accounting is necessary.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, and Workday Software is essential.
• Strong analytical thinking, interpersonal communication, oral communication, and written communication skills.
• No specific certification or professional license is mandated.
• A driver’s license is not a requirement.
• External candidates receiving an offer must undergo applicable pre-employment screening.
