Grants Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +6 more states.

📋 Description

• Generate precise and timely financial reports for designated grants

• Ensure adherence to grant stipulations, AmeriCorps guidelines, OMB/2 CFR200, GAAP, FASB regulations, relevant laws, and internal controls

• Create prompt and accurate invoices for designated grants

• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of grant requirements

• Track budget-to-actual performance for assigned grants

• Compile grant expenditure reports for government, corporate, and foundation grants

• Assess grant allocations to ensure alignment with spend-down strategies

• Confirm the accuracy of grant revenues and expenditures

• Oversee expense allocations to guarantee appropriateness

• Examine accounting transactions for correct coding and eligibility

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or 1-2 years of experience in an accounting position

• 1-2 years of experience in nonprofit accounting

• Strong accuracy and time management abilities

• Experience with NetSuite or a comparable system
