GL Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Assist with General Ledger activities and play a role in the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes;

• Work closely with both finance and non-finance departments, as well as external partners, to uphold and improve shared processes, tools, and reporting activities;

• Ensure compliance with company policies, internal and external audit standards, and local regulatory requirements;

• Enhance financial processes and internal controls through ongoing improvement initiatives;

• Engage in local, regional, and global finance projects as required;

• Serve as a proactive champion for the finance function within the organization;

• Discover opportunities for process enhancement and assist with continuous improvements;

• Depending on your background, participate in the transition of finance, tax, or accounting processes from European entities to Poland and aid in their stabilization.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in finance or accounting;

• Professional accounting certifications (ACCA, CIMA, CPA, ACA, CMA) are highly regarded;

• Familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP);

• Strong expertise in MS Excel and comfort with financial data and reporting tools;

• Proficient in spoken and written English; additional languages such as French, German, Italian, or Dutch are advantageous;

• Experience in an international setting, preferably within SSC/BSC frameworks;

• Problem-solving abilities, a proactive attitude, and the capacity to suggest improvements;

• Strong customer service orientation and effective teamwork skills;

• Excellent organizational skills, discipline, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment;
