Senior Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the complete accounting process for compensation-related expenses, which includes the preparation of recurring payroll journal entries, benefits accruals, stock compensation, and various employee-related entries.

• Carry out monthly accounting close procedures, which involve preparing journal entries and account reconciliations; promptly investigate and resolve reconciling items.

• Conduct monthly open PO accruals, ensuring that expenses are accurate and complete; collaborate with business owners as required.

• Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations and account flux analyses specific to assigned areas.

• Review and approve the work papers, account reconciliations, and journal entries prepared by Staff Accountants.

• Work closely with payroll and benefits teams to guarantee the completeness and accuracy of data utilized for accounting entries.

• Collaborate with international third-party accountants to reconcile corporate books (US GAAP) with local statutory books, including preparing necessary adjusting entries.

• Assist in scaling accounting systems and ensure all systems are fully utilized to their maximum capacity.

• Support the SEC team with the preparation of schedules and other analyses as required.

• Aid management with audit requests and respond to inquiries from both internal and external auditors.

• Engage in ad-hoc projects as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• A BS or BA degree in Accounting or a related field.

• Over 5 years of progressive general ledger accounting experience in a corporate or public accounting setting, preferably within the software industry; CPA designation preferred.

• Strong expertise and understanding of US GAAP and SOX internal controls.

• Experience with Oracle Fusion, Blackline, or Coupa is a plus.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong analytical, organizational, and detail-oriented skills.

• Capability to work independently, collaboratively across functions, and as part of a team.

• Advanced skills in MS Excel.

• Familiarity with or interest in utilizing AI tools or technologies in accounting workflows is a plus.
