This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• You will assume overall responsibility for ongoing financial accounting alongside our Head of Finance.
• You will independently prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements using DATEV.
• You will oversee and enhance our upstream systems (including easybill and Finway) while ensuring seamless integration with DATEV.
• You will continuously refine and standardize our accounting processes, focusing on digitization, efficiency, and valuable reporting.
• You will monitor open items/accounts receivable and manage our dunning process for optimization.
• You will collaborate closely with our Head of Finance and serve as a liaison for auditors, tax advisors, and internal departments.
• You will prepare financial reports and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to inform management and executive decision-making.
• In the future, you may also take on technical or team leadership roles within Accounting.
• You have completed commercial or business training, such as a tax clerk (Steuerfachangestellte), or obtained further qualification as a certified balance sheet accountant (Bilanzbuchhalter IHK).
• You possess several years of professional experience in financial accounting, preferably within a digitally focused mid-sized company or scale-up.
• You have strong knowledge of DATEV and experience with upstream systems like easybill, Finway, or similar tools.
• You are well-versed in the German principles of proper accounting (Grundsätze ordnungsmäßiger Buchführung, GoB) and can autonomously prepare monthly and annual financial statements.
• You are proficient in MS Excel and have a passion for optimizing processes and driving digitization initiatives.
• You demonstrate a structured, independent, and meticulous approach to work, showcasing a high level of reliability.
• You communicate effectively, enjoy teamwork, and are open to taking on technical responsibilities in the future.
• Full flexibility in work location (remote, at the Bremen headquarters, or potentially from abroad by arrangement).
