This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Facilitate the launch and execution of granting streams.
• Communicate with grantees to inform them of decisions, gather necessary information, and finalize contracts.
• Oversee and manage internal processes, including grantee timelines, the implementation of granting streams, and impact reporting.
• Supervise internal procedures relating to grant applications, reviews, and approval processes.
• Co-chair the Granting Advisory Circle and Granting Review Circles, which includes scheduling, facilitating discussions, and overseeing recommendations.
• Manage relationship-building and outreach activities throughout the department, focusing on grantees, funders, and community partnerships.
• Coordinate with internal partners (Finance, Communications, etc.) to enhance program functionality, manage payments, and facilitate outreach.
• Lead communication strategies for Granting Programs, including the development of a communication plan and supporting website updates.
• Serve as the primary system administrator for granting software.
• Oversee special projects, including planning logistics, scheduling, and budget monitoring.
• Assist in the evaluation of programming and the dissemination of impact and outcome reports.
• Create and track budgets and expenditures across various projects.
• Ensure timely and precise reporting requirements are met both internally and externally.
• Foster a culture of shared leadership by mentoring managers and team leaders in relational accountability and adaptive change practices.
• Facilitate learning cycles within teams to encourage reflection, feedback, and necessary adjustments.
• Regularly evaluate and propose modifications to the organization’s procedures and policies to maintain relevance in a rapidly evolving environment.
• Cultivate a collaborative, transparent, and accountable organizational culture that embodies IYR's values.
• Actively participate in staff meetings, working groups, and committees to further organizational objectives.
• Uphold and promote the organization’s cultural values and guiding principles in all workplace practices.
• Engage with the Indigenous community and support initiatives that enhance relationships and collaboration.
• Execute your responsibilities in a manner that safeguards your health and safety as well as that of others by reporting potential hazards, incidents, and injuries.
• Collaborate, support, and engage with measures implemented in the workplace to enhance occupational health and safety.
• A minimum of 3 years in roles related to project oversight or program development.
• A minimum of 3 years in roles related to funding or grants management.
• Previous experience in people leadership is advantageous.
• Experience working with Indigenous youth communities is a plus.
• Strong administrative skills, with the capacity to manage multiple projects and tasks concurrently.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly.
