This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alaska, +11 more states.
• Cultivates strong relationships with partners and within the organization.
• Possesses a thorough understanding of company services to recognize and evaluate viable business opportunities.
• Identifies, reviews, and responds to grants and various funding opportunities.
• Conducts research on new funding sources at local, state, and federal levels, as well as with corporate and private foundations.
• Identifies, compiles, describes, organizes, analyzes, and presents data and information for business projects and grant proposals.
• Analyzes RFP opportunities, summarizes key insights, and facilitates team discussions with senior staff to make informed decisions about pursuing funding opportunities and coordinates responses when necessary.
• Participates in bidder’s conferences and technical assistance workshops as required.
• Monitors and reports on funding opportunities.
• Bachelor’s Degree in journalism, English, health science, public administration, business, communications, public health, or a related field.
• Proven success in securing grant-driven funding and demonstrated ability to research grant prospects for proposal writing.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in grant writing.
• Proficient in all Microsoft applications and digital research tools, including AI.
• Capable of writing clear, structured, articulate, and persuasive proposals.
• Strong editing abilities.
• Ability to work effectively independently under pressure and manage time efficiently to meet deadlines while maintaining a keen attention to detail.
• Highly organized, self-motivated, and possesses positive interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving capabilities.
• Adheres to the principles of ethical conduct.
• Basic understanding of substance use disorders and their effects on individuals, families, and communities.
• Intermediate knowledge of government organization and administration.
• Intermediate understanding of foundation and government funding streams and cycles.
