Graduate Sustainability Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ireland.

📋 Description

• Facilitate the execution of energy audits and energy performance evaluations for various building types.

• Aid in pinpointing energy efficiency and decarbonisation prospects for clients.

• Gather, analyze, and interpret data related to energy consumption.

• Assist in the creation of technical reports, energy assessments, and recommendations for clients.

• Support BER assessments, Part L compliance, and building energy modeling when relevant.

• Contribute to ISO 50001 Energy Management System initiatives under the mentorship of senior engineers.

• Participate in site visits to collect data and assist with project execution.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including Mechanical, Electrical, and Sustainability Engineers.

• Stay informed about Irish Building Regulations, Climate Action objectives, and industry best practices.

• Assist senior engineers with project implementation, technical research, and client presentations.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree (NFQ Level 7 or above) in Energy Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, Sustainable Energy, or a related field.

• A strong passion for sustainability, energy efficiency, and low-carbon building design.

• Knowledge of Irish Building Regulations and energy performance concepts gained through university education or placement experience.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Good organizational capabilities with the ability to juggle multiple tasks effectively.

• Valid, clean driving license and willingness to travel to client locations as necessary.

• Proficient in interpreting drawings and managing construction documentation.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• A proactive attitude with a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
