Government Guaranteed Lending Relationship Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Assist a specific region by growing and overseeing Small Business Administration (SBA) lending activities.

• Act as a regional expert in SBA 504 and 7(a) lending.

• Collaborate with Relationship Managers to design transaction structures.

• Assess financing requirements and offer government-backed lending solutions.

• Meet and exceed assigned SBA referral targets.

• Establish and nurture strong partnerships with Certified Development Companies (CDCs) and SBA ecosystem collaborators.

• Identify and facilitate opportunities eligible under the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA).

• Monitor and manage SBA referrals, applications, and approved loans.

• Collaborate with Credit, SBA Operations, CRA, Compliance, and Legal departments.

• Deliver training and coaching for Relationship Managers.

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of SBA and CRA processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline (or an equivalent mix of education and experience).

• Background in commercial lending, SBA lending, or government-backed credit assistance.

• Proficient understanding of SBA 504 and 7(a) lending programs.

• Familiarity with Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) regulations and eligibility criteria.

• Proven ability to collaborate with Relationship Managers and cross-functional partners in a regional banking context.
