Golang Engineer – SRE Engineering Productivity

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ireland.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with fellow engineers to design, construct, scale, and manage systems utilized by Arista’s development teams.

• Automate CI/CD processes, testing, analysis, and visualization through engineering productivity systems.

• Monitor and visualize tooling and infrastructure by employing observability practices.

• Review and contribute to specifications and implementations developed by other team members.

• Design and create features, feature tests, and solutions.

• Address bugs and refactor code as necessary.

• Identify workflow, tooling, and infrastructure bottlenecks and limitations, providing effective solutions.

• Support tools and infrastructure for Arista’s development team.

• Take ownership of projects from definition through deployment and customer interactions.

• Ensure the quality of the work delivered.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of a BS in Computer Science with 3 years of experience, an MS in Computer Science with 2 years of experience, or a Ph.D. in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.

• Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Go, Python, Javascript, C++, or Java.

• Familiarity with Linux (or UNIX) operating systems.

• Understanding of operating systems, networking systems, or distributed systems.

• Practical knowledge of software engineering principles.

• Strong problem-solving and software troubleshooting abilities.

• Capability to design solutions and implement features independently.

• Ability to collaborate effectively within small teams.
