GNSS Algorithms Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Sweden.

📋 Description

• Define, design, implement, and document new features in Swift's GNSS corrections engine, focusing on advanced user positioning algorithms (PPP/RTK), orbit/clock estimation, and atmospheric modeling.

• Provide technical leadership on complex, cross-functional engineering projects that encompass atmospheric modeling, correction generation, and message formatting.

• Extract intricate challenges from target markets and customers and translate them into clear technical strategies and execution plans.

• Promote clean software engineering practices through code reviews, design evaluations, and architectural guidance for teammates and other Skylark teams.

• Serve as an advocate for new technologies and methodologies in GNSS positioning, balancing innovation with operational practicality.

• Proactively manage technical debt and design systems for optimal utility across the Skylark product line.

• Collaborate with the team tech lead, PMs, and associated teams to ensure technical coherence across releases.

• Mentor engineers within the team, including senior ICs, and contribute to the advancement of the broader Skylark engineering group.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong background in GNSS positioning algorithms, preferably PPP, RTK, or SSR-based correction systems.

• In-depth knowledge of atmospheric impacts on GNSS signals (ionosphere, troposphere) and methods to model and mitigate these effects.

• Proven technical leadership on large-scale projects delivered to production environments.

• Proficiency in modern C++, with the capability to produce clean, efficient, and well-tested code.

• Experience working iteratively with effective cross-functional communication among engineering, product, and customer-facing stakeholders.

• Familiarity with Git or similar version control systems, along with modern software engineering practices (CI, code review, automated testing).
