This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Develop and execute attitude control frameworks and algorithms within an embedded C++ setting.
• Establish specifications for ACS algorithms, hardware, and associated systems, including the formulation of roadmaps that create new customer opportunities.
• Conduct analysis and simulation to evaluate mission-specific performance.
• Assist in performance monitoring and anomaly resolution for on-orbit systems, which includes on-call responsibilities.
• Aid in the planning, execution, and validation of software- and hardware-in-the-loop testing.
• A PhD or Master’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering or a related field, along with 2+ years of professional experience, OR substantial hands-on experience in GNC analysis and design.
• Proficient in C++ programming.
• Understanding of control and optimization theories.
• Familiarity with typical LEO platform attitude actuators and sensors, including reaction wheels, magnetorquers, gyros, star trackers, and magnetometers.
• Proficient in common numerical programming environments such as Python, Julia, and MATLAB.
• Experience in designing, analyzing, and implementing ADCS/GNC subsystems for spacecraft.
• Strong communication, presentation, and coordination abilities.
