Global Threat Assessment Program Regional Operations Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Supervise the daily functions of the GTAP in the designated region, ensuring alignment with Airbnb’s goals and vision.

• Manage threat assessment cases from start to finish within the region: prioritize incoming reports, conduct investigations and structured threat evaluations, formulate incident management plans, and drive cases to resolution.

• Uphold stringent case documentation in line with GTAP standards — every decision must be justifiable, consistent, and subject to audit.

• Maintain awareness of regional situations: monitor evolving incidents and ensure pertinent information is communicated to the relevant GTAP and GSRM stakeholders promptly.

• Collaborate with the Global Operations Manager and other Regional Operations Managers to guarantee consistency and effectiveness across all areas.

• Monitor regional caseload metrics: volume, time-to-triage, time-to-resolution, and SLA compliance. Supply accurate regional data to the Global TAO Manager for comprehensive program reporting.

• Identify regional throughput challenges or trends — such as increases in case types, new threat profiles, and recurring escalation triggers — and escalate them with analysis and suggested actions.

• Establish and nurture partnerships with local stakeholders to evaluate Airbnb’s approach to managing threatening incidents and to share threat information aimed at reducing risks to the Airbnb community in the region.

• Oversee regional relationships of the Global Safety and Security team with local law enforcement and other investigative, research, and intelligence organizations and vendors.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in threat assessment, investigations, law enforcement, intelligence, or a closely related discipline.

• Practical experience in threat assessment cases: you have independently triaged, evaluated, and managed cases involving targeted violence, stalking, harassment, or similar issues.

• Strong documentation skills: you produce clear, precise case notes that withstand legal and operational examination.

• Excellent written and verbal communication: you can effectively summarize a complex, sensitive case for a non-expert audience and confidently present recommended actions.

• Background in law enforcement, corporate security, intelligence, or a technology company trust and safety role that includes case management.

• Experience working in a globally distributed team with cross-regional collaboration.

• Proficient in open source research and online investigative methods.

• Ability to forge partnerships and collaborate effectively across functions.
