Global Senior Director, Product Management – Liquid Cooling

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Define the long-term vision for products, portfolio structure, and investment priorities in liquid cooling technologies and solutions.

• Create and oversee a global product roadmap that balances customer needs, technology advancements, competitive landscape, revenue potential, and profitability.

• Manage the product lifecycle from identifying market opportunities to development, launch, growth, and eventual phase-out.

• Establish portfolio segmentation, product positioning, value propositions, and differentiation strategies.

• Analyze global data center markets, customer bases, competitors, pricing strategies, technological developments, and market positioning.

• Convert customer and market needs into product specifications and investment priorities.

• Gather and prioritize global customer feedback and validate emerging product ideas with key clients.

• Collaborate with Engineering and R&D to turn market requirements into technical specifications and development priorities.

• Ensure adherence to structured product development processes, including stage-gate governance, business cases, customer validation, launch readiness, and lifecycle management.

• Ensure product platforms are designed for scalability, manufacturability, serviceability, regulatory compliance, and global deployment.

• Set targets for product performance, cost, quality, reliability, and time-to-market.

• Collaborate with Sales, Finance, Commercial leadership, Operations, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Service, Marketing, and regional leadership on commercialization, pricing, profitability, readiness, and deployment.

• Develop comprehensive global product launch plans and equip regional teams with tools, training, documentation, and commercial resources.

• Support strategic customer interactions and major opportunities.

• Promote global consistency while allowing for appropriate regional adaptations.

• Establish performance metrics for the portfolio and communicate progress, risks, and investment needs to senior leadership.

• Advocate for common platforms, architectures, and scalable solutions while minimizing unnecessary regional product proliferation.

• Integrate considerations of cost, sourcing, capacity, lead time, quality, manufacturing, and supply-chain resilience into product decision-making.

• Develop lifecycle strategies for spare parts, serviceability, upgrades, and obsolescence.

• Monitor product and portfolio performance and initiate necessary corrective actions.

• Lead and nurture a high-performing global product management team.

• Define roles, responsibilities, decision-making authority, and career paths for global product managers.

• Foster collaboration across global and regional product management, commercial, engineering, and operational teams.

• Act as a mentor and thought leader for product management within the organization.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Computer Science, or a related field; advanced degree is preferred.

• Over 12 years of progressive experience in product management, product strategy, business development, engineering, or similar technology leadership roles.

• Proven track record in developing and managing complex technology products and portfolios.

• Experience in data centers, HVAC, thermal management, liquid cooling, semiconductor infrastructure, power infrastructure, or a closely related industry is highly preferred.

• Demonstrated experience in leading global teams and managing products across diverse geographic markets.

• Strong understanding of product lifecycle management, product development, commercialization, and portfolio strategy.

• Proven financial and commercial acumen, including skills in business-case development, pricing, margin management, and investment prioritization.

• Experience engaging with hyperscalers, colocation providers, OEMs, system integrators, or other significant data center customers is highly desirable.

• Demonstrated ability to influence senior executives and cross-functional stakeholders without direct authority.

• Strong analytical, strategic, communication, and organizational skills.

• Capable of operating effectively in a fast-paced, highly technical, global environment.

• Valid US passport and driver's license required.

• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally 20% to 30% of the time.

• Proficient with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and New Product Development (NPD).

• Experience with product roadmaps, requirements management, and project portfolio management tools.

• Strong analytical skills using business intelligence, reporting, and data visualization tools.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office / Microsoft 365, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.

• Ability to comprehend and translate controls, monitoring, BMS/DCIM, and thermal-management systems into product requirements and customer value propositions.

• Strong understanding of digital product capabilities, connectivity, controls, telemetry, software, and data requirements associated with modern liquid cooling and data center infrastructure.
