This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.
• Act as the main escalation point for intricate customer issues related to networking, fabric design, connectivity, and performance in WEKA deployments.
• Diagnose Layer 1–4 networking challenges in high-throughput, low-latency environments, including AI/ML pipelines and HPC clusters.
• Collaborate with Customer Success Engineers to mentor, assess case strategies, and enhance the overall networking expertise of the team.
• Engage in proactive problem prevention by analyzing field data to detect emerging trends, bottlenecks, or systemic issues in network configurations.
• Maintain and update WEKA’s Known Issues Database, Technical Advisories (WTAs), and Knowledge Base (KB) with network-focused content.
• Work alongside the Development team to perform detailed root cause analyses and influence the future capabilities of products and diagnostic tools.
• Facilitate in-depth training sessions on advanced networking topics for internal support teams and key customers.
• Participate in technical design reviews, both internally and with customer architecture teams, to ensure adherence to networking best practices.
• Continuously enhance WEKA’s internal tools for packet capture, latency analysis, flow visualization, and path validation.
• Represent GRE in cross-functional architecture reviews involving customers, field engineers, and partners, focusing on networking scalability and readiness.
• Support global 24/7 operations through on-call participation and resolution of high-severity incidents.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field; equivalent experience will be considered.
• Over 15 years of experience in advanced technical support, network engineering, or network architecture roles within enterprise, cloud, or HPC environments.
• Proven capability to serve as a technical lead in escalations involving multiple teams and critical customer situations.
• Experience with or providing support for cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid deployments is preferred.
• Fluency in English is required; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
• Willingness to support global operations, including on-call rotations and potential travel.
• Expertise in modern data center networking, covering Ethernet (10/25/40/100/400G), Infiniband (HDR/NDR), RDMA (RoCE), DPDK, and UCX.
• Extensive experience with multi-vendor enterprise switching and routing solutions (Arista, NVIDIA/Mellanox, Cisco, Juniper).
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, LACP, ECMP, jumbo frames, MTU tuning, congestion control, and QoS in storage and compute networks.
• Practical experience with network telemetry tools, performance tuning, and link-level diagnostics (ethtool, iperf, perfquery, ifconfig, fabric utilities).
• Advanced Linux systems administration skills with a focus on network stack debugging and tuning (sysctl, iptables/nftables, routing tables).
• Demonstrated ability to resolve complex technical issues in distributed systems, especially in storage-intensive and compute-heavy workloads.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying technical information clearly and concisely.
• Familiarity with WEKA’s architecture and networking requirements is a significant advantage.
• Ability to lead architectural discussions on datacenter fabrics for scale-out systems (AI training clusters, hybrid cloud architectures, etc.).
• Strong documentation skills; capable of creating clear internal guides and customer-facing technical content.
