This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Italy.
• Create standards for tooling, fixtures, and lift fixture processes and equipment.
• Implement global standards across the Aero Alliance factories in collaboration with local technical leaders.
• Develop, validate, and enhance manufacturing processes.
• Establish global process and equipment standards, and execute their deployment in the Aero Alliance factories, working alongside local technical leaders.
• Define, manage, and communicate global processes for manufacturing assets, which include facility integration, acceptance testing, machine health checks and calibrations, preventative maintenance plans, spare parts strategies, and technical training.
• Verify engineering specifications and the application of new processes on the shop floor, involving EHS, Manufacturing Engineers, Engineering, Quality, Materials, Industrialization, and Sourcing.
• Collaborate with channels to develop new repair processes and qualifications.
• Create and execute reliability enhancement strategies utilizing industry best practices like FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
• Work with maintenance, operations, engineering, and safety teams to design and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Propel continuous improvement initiatives focused on minimizing equipment downtime and enhancing quality processes.
• Lead investigations into failures and recurring issues, identifying root causes and instituting effective corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
• Offer technical support for asset management, which includes equipment lifecycle analysis and spare parts optimization.
• Educate local factory manufacturing engineers to enhance their proficiency in processes and equipment.
• Engage in the design and installation of new equipment and the implementation of processes, ensuring reliability considerations are integrated from the beginning (Design for Reliability).
• Bachelor's Degree from a recognized university or college.
• Over 7 years of industrial experience in manufacturing or quality.
• More than 5 years of experience in a technical role (such as manufacturing engineer) with specialization in Tooling, Fixtures, and Material Lifting Devices.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles and quality processes.
• Capability to interpret blueprints, specifications, drawings, and schematics.
• Project management experience and skillset.
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
