Global Privacy Director

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Greece.

📋 Description

• Create and implement a worldwide privacy strategy.

• Serve as the authority on international privacy regulations.

• Collaborate with Sales and Legal teams to negotiate intricate Data Processing Addendums (DPAs).

• Work alongside the Product and AI Operations teams to ensure the ethical application of AI technologies.

• Integrate privacy considerations into new product development and client onboarding processes.

• Manage privacy due diligence and the lifecycle of third-party vendor relationships.

• Lead the Global Privacy Incident Response Team.

• Supervise Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and coordinate third-party privacy audits.

• Promote a culture of privacy awareness throughout the global workforce.

• Build and expand a diverse, multidisciplinary global privacy team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in data privacy, legal, or compliance sectors.

• Minimum of 5 years in a global leadership capacity.

• Juris Doctor or an equivalent advanced degree is preferred; a Bachelor’s degree in Law, IT, or Business is mandatory.

• Certifications such as CIPP/E, CIPP/US, and CIPM (IAPP) are strongly preferred.

• Comprehensive knowledge of data flow in contemporary cloud systems and AI/ML frameworks.

• Proven experience in managing remote, culturally diverse teams and understanding the complexities of international labor and data legislation.
