This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design, implement, and oversee a comprehensive Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality program that addresses worker safety, job site practices, personal protective equipment (PPE), and environmental considerations across various international jurisdictions.
• Set forth clear, standardized technical specifications for solar and storage repairs. Create and apply post-repair validation processes to guarantee that all work is structurally sound, electrically compliant, and resolves the root cause of system failures.
• Define and advocate for professional conduct, communication, and onsite behavior standards for technicians representing our brand. Evaluate and enhance customer interactions to provide a seamless and high-satisfaction field service experience.
• Establish explicit safety and quality standards, including 'Stop-Work Authority' and 'Quality Correction' protocols for both internal staff and third-party contractors.
• Ensure that all field operations and workmanship comply with or exceed local building codes, electrical standards, and national regulations (e.g., OSHA and NEC in the US, Safe Work Australia, AS/NZS 3000, and equivalent European/Latin American standards).
• Maintain a centralized library ready for audits, containing all HSE policies, Quality Assurance (QA) checklists, SOPs, and technical repair instructions. Assist in reviewing client Master Service Agreements (MSAs), safety exhibits, and quality SLAs.
• Act as the global contact for safety incidents and significant quality/workmanship failures. Lead root-cause analysis (RCA) for field failures, coordinate corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and implement updates to avert future issues.
• Develop, monitor, and report on global safety and quality metrics (e.g., leading/lagging safety indicators, First-Time Fix Rate, dispatch callbacks, and customer satisfaction/NPS). Utilize these data insights to transition the organization from reactive troubleshooting to proactive risk and quality management.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Legal, Operations, Partner Management, and Client Success to integrate safety and quality metrics seamlessly into daily operations and service delivery workflows.
• Over 5 years of leadership experience in HSEQ, HSSE, or Quality Assurance/Operations in the solar, electrical, construction, or highly technical field service sectors.
• Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing Quality Assurance (QA) programs, workmanship standards, and training systems for distributed field teams.
• In-depth knowledge of US electrical codes/OSHA standards and a proven capacity to learn, apply, and audit international regulatory frameworks (e.g., Australia).
• Experience performing root-cause analysis (RCA) for safety incidents and complex technical/workmanship failures.
• Strong background in utilizing Field Service Management (FSM) data to create dashboards and report on performance trends (such as callbacks and compliance scores) to senior leadership.
