Global Key Account Manager – Retail Solution

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Belgium.

📋 Description

• Cultivate a strategic and enduring partnership between SGS and designated global clients, representing SGS at all levels with particular focus on Director and VP levels.

• Discover and develop new revenue-generating opportunities within our client portfolio, collaborating closely with the SGS network and the global Technical Competence Team.

• Oversee the successful execution and delivery of a variety of client-specific projects of varying complexity on a global scale, ensuring that contractual obligations and deliverables are fulfilled while exceeding client expectations whenever feasible.

• Accountable for fostering long-term, sustainable business relationships between SGS and our key international clients.

• Represent the SGS network by reporting directly to our clients’ senior management teams in a professional manner regarding SGS’s performance.

• Responsible for the strategic expansion and development of key international clients.

• Create and ensure the successful execution of a client-specific Global Key Account Development Plan that aligns with the key drivers and requirements of the client and SGS.

• Serve as the primary liaison between SGS and the client’s management team at the Director or VP level to lead and ensure the smooth and effective management of existing programs in accordance with client KPIs.

• Supervise the implementation and enhancement of global cooperative agreements within the SGS network, ensuring that all aspects of the program are effectively deployed and continuously monitored.

• Collaborate efficiently with global technical teams prior to launching new projects to ensure the best execution structure and technical support are established and implemented.

• Manage the investigation and resolution processes for any client issues, concerns, complaints, or claims, following the appropriate escalation procedures as necessary.

• Identify and address risks associated with underperformance and/or client expectations, approaching challenges with a proactive and constructive mindset.


⛳️ Requirements

• At least 5 years of relevant experience in B2B sales, business development, or commercial roles within service and solution-oriented environments.

• Proven track record in sales with demonstrated success in acquiring new business, fostering long-term client relationships, and promoting upselling/cross-selling among existing clients.

• Capability to contribute to and lead a global business development strategy, identifying growth opportunities and developing scalable sales methodologies across regions.

• Experience in selling multi-service or solution-based offerings, preferably across diverse customer needs.

• Established professional network within the retail and/or consumer brand sectors in Europe, with the ability to leverage relationships to unlock opportunities and expedite pipeline development while establishing long-term global partnerships.

• Negotiation experience with Global Master Agreements/Global Frame Agreements with Global Partners is essential.

• Experience in selling within multinational or cross-border contexts, engaging with international stakeholders, and coordinating internally across regions or service lines.

• Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced, target-driven environments, managing multiple opportunities and priorities concurrently.

• Experience in the TIC sector is a plus.

• Proficiency in English is required; additional European languages are highly advantageous.
