This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the global delivery team responsible for managing employee and payroll data, employment taxes, equity compensation, and operational risk processes.
• Develop and govern global business continuity strategies for People Operations workstreams.
• Design, implement, monitor, and regulate internal controls and business plans within HR People Operations.
• Collaborate with both internal and external auditors to manage, execute, monitor, report, and oversee audits across HR shared service areas.
• Suggest risk management strategies and best practices for shared services.
• Work alongside controllership and tax teams to establish local HR Services operational risk control frameworks.
• Assist Finance in executing procedures and ensuring timely, accurate account reconciliations.
• Lead regulatory projects and uphold compliance with regulatory system requirements.
• Conduct annual SOX testing and act as the Payroll SOX liaison for external auditors.
• Create and uphold Payroll and Benefits segregation-of-duties controls.
• Examine account reconciliations and financial transactions while addressing tax notifications.
• Guide regional and local teams on internal controls and compliance matters.
• Oversee project governance, operating rhythms, communications, reporting, and reviews.
• Manage HR operational risk, tax compliance, benefits compliance, and controllership standards.
• Monitor and research local, state, and federal regulations that are proposed or enacted.
• Serve as the primary contact for government investigations and inquiries.
• Design and facilitate training programs focused on regulatory and compliance education.
• Lead cross-functional teams and projects as an operational risk authority.
• Develop and present business solutions while maintaining a risk register.
• Formulate and uphold payroll policies and procedures that ensure data security, confidentiality, and accuracy.
• Guarantee business continuity through the design and documentation of plans with regional delivery teams.
• Over 10 years of experience in Human Resources and HR Operations Service Delivery.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.
• In-depth expertise in payroll governance, controllership, or related operational risk management within a multinational organization.
• Extensive professional experience with payroll processes, regulatory compliance, and/or in an operations/service-oriented setting.
• Familiarity with global mobility programs.
• Experience with time and attendance systems.
• Proficiency in Workday, particularly in manufacturing contexts.
• Background in project management and process enhancement.
• Proven leadership capabilities with large global teams.
• Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
• Capacity to influence, advise, and guide senior operational leaders.
• Strategic judgment and capacity to navigate complex issues.
• Ability to assess information quality and analyze conflicting data.
• Competence in developing recommendations and solutions beyond established parameters.
• Skills in documentation, planning, marketing, and executing programs.
• Strong project management skills.
