Global Head of Clinical Delivery

📋 Description

• Develop and implement a global strategy for clinical operations delivery that aligns with corporate growth and operational goals.

• Create a vision for excellence in clinical delivery across all regions.

• Collaborate with executive leadership to define organizational priorities, resource investments, and transformation initiatives.

• Promote process improvements, technology integration, and innovative operating models.

• Represent Global Clinical Delivery in executive governance forums and engagements with strategic customers.

• Oversee executive management of Phase I–IV clinical operations and full-service trial delivery.

• Ensure that studies are completed on schedule, within budget, and in adherence to regulatory and quality standards.

• Establish delivery standards, governance frameworks, and performance expectations.

• Monitor portfolio performance and effectively address critical delivery risks and issues.

• Manage global clinical operations and a full-service client portfolio, including resource allocation and risk mitigation.

• Foster accountability for quality, timelines, enrollment, site performance, and study outcomes.

• Ensure cross-functional collaboration among clinical, data management, biostatistics, regulatory, medical writing, safety, and other teams.

• Lead executive-level management for critical studies and key strategic customers.

• Cultivate executive relationships with sponsors and strategic partners.

• Represent clinical delivery in business development efforts, proposal reviews, and bid defenses.

• Aid in customer retention, explore expansion opportunities, and facilitate new business acquisition.

• Act as the executive sponsor for key accounts and address significant customer issues.

• Take ownership of revenue realization, profitability, forecasting accuracy, and operational efficiency.

• Manage study budgets, scope adjustments, resource models, and client commitments.

• Set KPIs and operational metrics.

• Lead, mentor, and cultivate a high-performing global clinical delivery team.

• Develop leadership capabilities, succession plans, and talent pipelines.

• Encourage collaboration, innovation, diversity, inclusion, and ongoing professional development.

• Promote employee engagement, retention, and workforce planning.

• Ensure compliance, readiness for inspections, support for audits, and proactive risk management.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Nursing, Pharmacy, Public Health, or a related discipline is required.

• Over 15 years of progressive experience in clinical operations, clinical delivery, or drug development.

• More than 10 years of senior leadership experience in one or more CROs is preferred.

• Delivery experience across North America, Europe, and the APAC region is preferred.

• A proven history of successfully leading large, globally dispersed clinical operations organizations.

• Demonstrated experience managing complex global clinical development programs across various therapeutic areas.

• Experience in leading organizational transformation and operational scaling across multiple global regions, as well as business growth initiatives.

• A strong understanding of regulatory requirements, clinical trial execution, and clinical development processes.

• Knowledge of compliance with ICH-GCP, regulatory requirements, company SOPs, and applicable quality standards.
