This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Supervise global controllership functions, which encompass financial reporting, technical accounting, internal controls, revenue accounting, general ledgers, accounts payable, global tax, and financial systems.
• Manage the global consolidated US GAAP audit along with local statutory audits.
• Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes, including consolidation and the preparation of financial statements.
• Ensure that financial statements are finalized in an accurate and timely manner.
• Lead global technical accounting efforts, involving research and drafting accounting memos for both routine and non-routine transactions.
• Enhance and fortify internal controls over financial reporting in accordance with the COSO framework.
• Design, implement, and maintain global financial systems and processes.
• Propel automation and AI integration to boost operational efficiency.
• Assist with M&A activities.
• Manage audit committee meeting agendas and prepare necessary materials for these meetings.
• Collaborate with FP&A on reporting for senior leadership, budgeting, and monthly forecasts.
• Mentor and cultivate a high-performing global team.
• Report directly to the CFO.
• Candidates should be based in New England and/or the Tri-State area.
• A BS/MS degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• CPA certification is mandatory.
• A minimum of 15 years of accounting experience is necessary, including roles at publicly traded companies and PE-backed firms with revenues exceeding $300M.
• Must currently hold the position of Corporate/Global Controller in a scaled environment.
• At least 5 years of experience in a major public accounting firm is required.
• Experience in SEC reporting, technical accounting, and internal controls is highly desirable.
• Proven experience in scaling accounting operations within a rapidly growing environment.
• Familiarity with supporting M&A activities is essential.
• Experience in managing a global team and engaging with international stakeholders is necessary.
• A hands-on, detail-oriented, and process-driven approach is required.
