Global Client Account Director, Data Centers

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.

📋 Description

• Formulate and execute strategies to achieve profitable organic growth for global data center and technology accounts.

• Manage AECOM’s engagement with major global technology clients.

• Establish prominent global leadership with clients and deliver results that align with their business goals.

• Lead global multidisciplinary teams while promoting AECOM’s services.

• Influence AECOM leadership to align with the priorities of clients.

• Cultivate and maintain relationships with senior and executive clients.

• Collaborate with regional leadership and project teams to foresee challenges and enhance quality.

• Connect AECOM teams and solutions across the global landscape to tackle complex client issues.

• Enhance AECOM’s brand through thought leadership and participation in conferences.

• Mentor and assist in attracting and retaining talent in client account management.

• Expand networks with existing and potential clients, develop new prospects, and grow current business.

• Report directly to the Senior Vice President and Head of Global Technology and Data Centers.

• Travel domestically and internationally.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a related field along with at least twelve (12) years of relevant experience, or a demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

• Proven track record in building relationships that drive growth.

• Experience in the development of data centers.

• Established relationships with leading hyperscalers, colocation companies, and/or developers.

• Extensive experience in a client-facing position.

• Background in leading cross-functional teams.

• Experience working with multicultural teams.

• Ability to navigate ambiguity and lead through influence.

• Strong collaborative skills within diverse, multidisciplinary environments.

• Self-motivated with strong leadership capabilities.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Willingness to travel both domestically and globally.

• Preferred: senior-level relationships with hyperscalers, colocation companies, and/or developers in the data center sector.

• Preferred: international work experience.

• Preferred: a recognized industry leader with an extensive network.
