This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Create and execute category strategies for Facilities and MRO on a global scale, which involves identifying needs, project planning, gathering internal and external data, conducting strategic analysis, recognizing opportunities, formulating procurement strategies, and developing implementation plans.
• Assemble, lead, and facilitate cross-functional teams as necessary to carry out the procurement processes and plans; assist in the supplier selection and decision-making process; oversee and facilitate the contract development, negotiation, and execution process.
• Manage alignment of strategies, ensure long-term supply security, evaluate supplier performance, and establish a preferred supply base.
• Guarantee optimal supplier pricing, supply responsiveness, quality, and adherence to contractual agreements.
• Design suitable risk management strategies that anticipate and address a wide range of risk scenarios to ensure a steady supply of ICU Medical’s requirements.
• Keep up-to-date with industry intelligence on technology trends, sourcing options, and competitive pricing.
• Measure and report on commodity performance objectives, assess supplier performance, conduct periodic business reviews, and initiate corrective actions when required.
• Review, negotiate, and maintain Supplier Agreements along with supporting documentation.
• Benchmark prices and pricing information to ensure the company receives the most cost-effective, highest quality products.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to facilitate the sourcing process.
• Collaborate with other functions and affected stakeholders to ensure timely execution and compliance with the agreed sourcing strategies.
• Undertake special assignments as they arise.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• A Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) is required; a Master of Science or MBA is preferred.
• 8-10 years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience in a global or multi-site manufacturing environment.
• Commercial experience in indirect sourcing and/or facility services sourcing.
• Commercial experience in an outsourcing environment.
• Experience in negotiating commercial contract terms and collaborating with Legal business partners.
• Experience in negotiating and managing high-value contracts.
• Management of large spend portfolios sourced on a global scale.
• Experience in leading multi-functional, cross-site teams.
• Proven ability to coordinate cross-site activities, benchmarking, periodic meetings, and necessary training.
• Demonstrated capability to effectively implement change in a center-led management model.
• Experience with large ERP systems; Oracle is preferred.
• Project management experience.
• A predominantly sedentary role.
• Functions in a professional office setting and routinely utilizes standard office equipment.
• Generally requires travel less than 5% of the time.
