This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama.
• Oversee client relationships and daily management of designated Global Capital Markets accounts.
• Carry out administrative, operational, and risk management tasks for GCM transactions.
• Act as the primary contact for clients and both internal and external service partners.
• Supervise account systems, databases, activities, controls, policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Examine, assess, and provide feedback to legal counsel on operative documents and agreements.
• Facilitate risk monitoring and regulatory compliance in collaboration with Legal, Risk, Compliance, and Audit teams.
• Investigate and resolve control and client service issues.
• Collaborate with attorneys, financial advisors, interested parties, and service partners to structure and finalize transactions.
• Manage cash flows, fee billing, reporting, and tickler processing.
• Engage in sales calls and prepare fee proposals for new business opportunities.
• Assess fees and oversee the collection of aged receivables.
• Nurture existing and prospective client and referral-source relationships.
• Represent GCM at transaction closings and lead or participate in client meetings and presentations.
• Identify and implement sanctioned fee increases, discounts, and waivers.
• Provide coverage and assistance to other Relationship Managers.
• Represent GCM or lead departmental and corporate initiatives.
• Support management in the development of business products and processes.
• May supervise or mentor less experienced associates.
• Comply with risk, regulatory, and internal control standards while escalating risk issues as necessary.
• Foster an inclusive environment that reflects the M&T Bank brand.
• Complete additional related tasks as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 2 years of client service experience in Global Capital Markets products or markets; OR, in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 6 years of higher education and/or work experience, including 2 years of relevant client service experience.
• High proficiency in using personal computers and relevant software applications.
• Experience in reading, analyzing, and interpreting legal documents.
• Proficient in calculating discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages.
• Understanding of corporate structures, relevant laws, and regulations.
• Demonstrated problem-solving abilities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent analytical skills.
• CCTS certification is preferred.
• Working knowledge of specialized internal software applications is preferred.
• Managerial or leadership experience is preferred.
• Proven sense of ownership in jobs or projects is preferred.
