This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Instruct asynchronous undergraduate and graduate courses for adult learners.
• Provide high-quality, engaging online teaching experiences.
• Link learning opportunities to workforce skills and professional growth.
• Promote supportive and inclusive educational environments.
• Focus on student learning, achievement, and timely feedback.
• Maintain open communication with students and respond swiftly to inquiries.
• Uphold academic integrity and adhere to university policies.
• Work collaboratively with academic support teams.
• Enhance course content and innovative teaching methods with the help of instructional designers, assessment specialists, and other professionals.
• Create and refine course materials, including texts, media, assessment tools, and instructional methods.
• Oversee, support, and mentor the instructional quality of associate faculty.
• Lead ongoing improvements in curriculum and instructional design.
• Collaborate with departments focused on student success, student affairs, library services, writing centers, access and wellness, academic advising, and career services.
• Help foster a sense of connection for students to the university in an online setting.
• Attend and engage in departmental, college, and university meetings.
• Participate in shared governance activities and committee work.
• Take part in search and hiring committees.
• Contribute to accreditation and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Mentor and provide support to faculty and staff members.
• Collaborate on initiatives aimed at enhancing university student success.
• A master's degree in insurance/risk, business banking, or a finance-related field.
• Demonstrated expertise in the insurance/risk, business banking, or finance industry.
• Evidence of potential or experience that shows adequate training, depth of knowledge in a specific specialty, and the ability to deliver high-quality teaching and service.
• Knowledge of best practices in teaching and learning, including curriculum development and assessment strategies, particularly in online environments.
• A collaborative and student-focused approach to leadership and instructional support.
• Capacity to create inclusive, engaging, and supportive online learning experiences.
• Ability to communicate effectively and empathetically with adult learners.
• Skill in aligning academic content with workforce requirements and industry trends.
• Proficiency in using educational technology and learning management systems.
• Ability to analyze student success data and enhance teaching practices and curricular design.
• Commitment to fostering a student-centered Culture of Care.
• Ability to balance teaching, service, and administrative duties.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
