
Global Alliances Lead, Advisory & Consulting Partners

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop a meticulously curated portfolio of lighthouse advisory and consulting partners.
• Manage global partner relationships and joint business plans, emphasizing executive commitment, shared customer initiatives, and measurable commercial results.
• Design and co-sell quantum security and computing solutions that encompass customer data-center hardware, remote cloud access, quantum application and algorithm development, and quantum-safe cybersecurity evaluations and migration projects.
• Collaborate with IonQ technical experts to assess customer requirements and achievable outcomes.
• Partner with regional leads to activate global alliances on a local level, create success stories, and replicate effective strategies.
• Identify priority advisory and consulting firms based on customer relevance, executive sponsorship, quantum capacity, and commitment to collaborative opportunities.
• Engage with partner practice leaders and account teams in customer discovery, opportunity qualification, business-case formulation, and commercial initiatives.
• Collaborate with Field Engineering, Partner Engineering, and Platform Sales Specialists to define feasible scope, technical success criteria, dependencies, and growth milestones.
• Enhance seller confidence through joint execution and demonstrable outcomes from customer engagements.
• Foster partner capability through collaborative workshops, proposals, live initiatives, and targeted training.
• Jointly explore needs, qualify use cases, shape solutions, co-sell, and execute initial engagements.
• Create reusable success narratives and playbooks, expanding them based on repeatability evidence.
• Mobilize partner headquarters, global executive sponsors, programs, practice expertise, and commercial frameworks for regional opportunities.
• Map designated advisory and consulting accounts and local partner practices; assign pursuit responsibilities and manage shared account plans, pipeline, and deal evaluations.
• Utilize regional customer insights to enhance global offerings and address cross-region challenges.
• Lead alliance commercial frameworks and joint investments alongside Legal and Finance; maintain a qualified pipeline and forecasts.
• Monitor opportunities in a shared record that captures distinct global and regional contributions.
• Secure customer-sanctioned success stories and document delivery lessons, partner economics, and reusable pursuit playbooks.
• Collaborate with Programs and Marketing to transform lighthouse engagement insights into reusable tools and market strategies.
• Expand into additional accounts, practices, or partners when results indicate customer value, partner commitment, and repeatable commercial avenues.
• Achieve referenceable wins, qualified customer engagements, global-regional pursuit cadence, and replicable playbooks within the first year.
• 8+ years in strategic alliances, with ownership of intricate relationships with advisory or consulting firms.
• Established credibility with senior consulting practice and industry leaders.
• In-depth understanding of consulting economics and the ability to convert advisory influence into collaborative opportunities.
• Proven history of developing targeted, early-stage partnerships into scalable channels that yield sustained revenue growth.
• Demonstrated commercial proficiency in frontier technologies or emerging technology sectors.
• Experience in cultivating a small number of deep partnerships and personally co-selling early customer engagements from discovery and qualification through solution development, negotiation, and closure.
• Exceptional executive communication, commercial negotiation, and cross-functional leadership skills.
• Strong discipline in pipeline qualification, forecasting, and investment prioritization.
• Experience in transforming early customer engagements into approved references, reusable solution frameworks, and repeatable partner sales processes.
• Capability to operate globally and travel as needed.
• Master’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Preferred: experience in quantum technologies, including quantum computing, networking and security, space, or sensing.
• Preferred: familiarity with sovereign or regulated markets, public-sector procurement, or international trade compliance related to advanced technology.
• Preferred: ability to work closely with technical specialists, differentiate validated capabilities from potential future offerings, and establish customer success criteria without overstating readiness.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, national, U.S. permanent resident, or legally admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum, in compliance with applicable export control laws and regulations.
