This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +3 more states.
• Drive for results: Take ownership of a global key account, integrating Amcor’s core values of safety, collaboration, accountability, results, and outperformance into every facet of the role.
• Implement account strategy as outlined by leadership to sustain share of wallet and enhance profitability for the account.
• Navigate account complexities to meet customer needs and foresee future requirements.
• Coordinate and facilitate key business negotiations, representing Amcor’s interests while demonstrating the ability to influence decisions and actions.
• Utilize knowledge of Amcor, its products, the industry, and the competitive landscape to empower the business to succeed.
• Achieve sales targets, including profitable year-over-year growth for the assigned territory.
• Foster relationships with customers built on trust and respect, improving the capacity for proactive and complex discussions.
• Develop collaborative relationships between Amcor and your account, involving leadership, marketing, and R&D to enhance sales initiatives and profitability while fulfilling customer requirements.
• Build and leverage cross-functional relationships to support wallet share growth strategies and facilitate the commercialization and onboarding process with other essential areas, both internal and external.
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations for both Amcor and the Key Account, including inventory management and oversight of quality and service key performance indicators.
• Engage externally to familiarize yourself with key influencers and collaborators within the industry, with a particular focus on co-packers, machine suppliers, OEMs, and industry associations.
• Report and communicate current performance metrics regarding sales and marketing contributions to the business unit for monthly management reporting.
• Enhance forecast accuracy to drive improved business outcomes.
• Identify competitive insights, marketing strategies, pricing structures, or product performance and relay intelligence to stakeholders.
• Oversee the management of Account Planning, Pipeline management, profitability enhancements, and churn management within the CRM tool.
• Bachelor’s Degree
• 5+ years of relevant experience in technical, sales, and general management, ideally within the packaging sector
• Experience in a large-scale business-to-business environment
• Proven track record in leading negotiations
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 60% of the time.
