This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Direct the general ledger accounting operations for the joint venture, ensuring precise, prompt, and comprehensive financial reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
• Assist in the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing procedures.
• Supervise the accounting closure for operating expenses, debt, equity, intercompany transactions, and balance sheet accounts.
• Evaluate and authorize journal entries, account reconciliations, and related schedules.
• Ensure that transactions adhere to U.S. GAAP and company accounting regulations.
• Conduct analytical reviews, probe variances, and address accounting concerns.
• Propel enhancements in the closing process through automation, standardization, and enhanced internal controls.
• Oversee accounting for construction loans, revolving credit lines, project financing, debt modifications, debt issuance expenses, interest costs, and debt amortization.
• Create and sustain debt rollforwards and related schedules.
• Manage accounting for capital contributions, distributions, equity issuances, ownership modifications, and other equity-related transactions.
• Maintain equity rollforwards and capital account documentation.
• Handle intercompany loans, capital calls, and financing dealings among multiple legal entities.
• Collaborate with the Treasury and Corporate Development teams on financing transactions and capital structure strategies.
• Lead and nurture a high-performing accounting team.
• Execute additional assigned tasks and responsibilities.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• CPA designation is mandatory.
• 8–10 years of advancing accounting experience, including 2–3 years at a Big Four public accounting firm.
• Proven experience leading month-end close processes in a multi-entity setting.
• Strong familiarity with U.S. GAAP and financial reporting standards.
• Experience in preparing or reviewing consolidations and intercompany eliminations.
• Prior involvement in supporting external audits and direct engagement with auditors.
• Proficient in advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Familiarity with ERP systems; experience with NetSuite is preferred.
• Background in data centers, commercial real estate, infrastructure, renewable energy, construction, or other capital-intensive sectors is preferred.
• Experience in a private equity-backed organization is an advantage.
• Knowledge of project accounting and joint venture accounting is preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication abilities, with a capability to collaborate across Finance and Operations is preferred.
