Accounting Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Act as the main accounting liaison for a designated client portfolio, overseeing bookkeeping and financial reporting.

• Supervise and execute month-end closing activities, which include journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.

• Generate and present precise income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements in accordance with client engagement agreements.

• Manage and reconcile the general ledger using QuickBooks Online.

• Collaborate with offshore bookkeeping, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll teams.

• Build and sustain strong working relationships with assigned clients.

• Engage proactively with clients concerning financial outcomes, outstanding items, and deadlines.

• Recognize and escalate intricate client issues or advisory opportunities to the Team Lead or Accounting Advisor.

• Partner with the Team Lead to guarantee that client deliverables adhere to quality standards and deadlines.

• Aid in the training and mentoring of junior staff and offshore team members.

• Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of internal processes, workflows, and documentation standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline is required.

• At least 3–5 years of accounting experience, ideally in public accounting or outsourced accounting services.

• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online is necessary.

• Familiarity with QBO Advanced or managing multiple QBO entities is advantageous.

• Solid understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail; capability to handle multiple client deadlines simultaneously.

• Strong professional written and verbal communication abilities.
