Accounting Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Act as the primary accounting representative for a designated client portfolio, overseeing bookkeeping and financial reporting.

• Supervise and execute month-end closing procedures, which include journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.

• Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and/or annual financial statements as per client engagement agreements.

• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger using QuickBooks Online.

• Collaborate with offshore teams handling bookkeeping, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll.

• Build and sustain robust working relationships with assigned clients.

• Engage with clients about financial outcomes, outstanding items, and deadlines.

• Recognize and escalate complex client challenges or advisory possibilities.

• Partner with the Team Lead to ensure that deliverables adhere to quality benchmarks and timelines.

• Provide training and mentorship to junior staff and offshore team members as required.

• Contribute to the enhancement of internal processes, workflows, and documentation standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline is required.

• A minimum of 3–5 years of accounting experience, ideally in public accounting or outsourced accounting services.

• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online is mandatory.

• Experience with QBO Advanced or managing multiple QBO entities is an advantage.

• A solid understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles.

• Capability to manage multiple client deadlines concurrently.

• Excellent professional written and verbal communication abilities.

• Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
