Interim Accounting Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Supervise the monthly and yearly closing processes, guaranteeing prompt and precise financial reporting.

• Prepare and assess journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules for key accounts, including revenue, balance sheet accounts, accruals, cash, and clearing accounts.

• Create and present comprehensive and accurate monthly financial statements, such as Balance Sheet and P&L, and review the underlying documentation.

• Direct the annual audit process and act as the primary point of contact for external auditors.

• Ensure adherence to GAAP and the consistent application of accounting policies.

• Oversee and guarantee the completion of balance sheet reconciliations, covering bank, credit card, and essential sub-ledger accounts.

• Review and supervise the preparation of ancillary schedules, including those related to prepaids, inventory accounts, and reserves.

• Collaborate cross-functionally with FP&A, Operations, and Sales/Marketing to ensure accurate accounting treatment of business activities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration, or equivalent professional experience.

• 2–4+ years of accounting experience within a CPG company.

• Preference for candidates with omnichannel experience across DTC, Amazon, and retail/wholesale.

• Required hands-on experience with NetSuite, including saved searches, item receipts, and general ledger.

• Self-motivated individual capable of working flexibly in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities.

• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables.

• Exposure to or experience with AI models such as Claude, ChatGPT, or Gemini.
