GK POS Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain GK POS / GK Retail Store Commerce solutions for transaction processing, payments, returns, promotions, and receipts.

• Oversee production support activities, including incident management, handling major incidents, performing root cause analysis, and managing problems.

• Create and maintain integrations between GK POS and ERP, OMS, payment gateways, and eCommerce platforms.

• Work collaboratively with business stakeholders, store operations, and engineering teams to gather and document requirements.

• Diagnose and resolve complex production issues through log analysis and system diagnostics.

• Collaborate with vendors, architects, and engineering teams effectively.

• Manage escalations and provide clear communication during critical incidents.

• Promote operational excellence, adherence to service level agreements (SLAs), quality of root cause analysis, and continuous improvement throughout the retail store network.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field is mandatory.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in Retail/QSR POS systems and store operations is essential.

• Strong technical and functional expertise in GK POS/Other POS systems, coupled with hands-on experience in GK POS / GK Retail Store Commerce/Other POS, is required.

• Practical experience with Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Microservices, and SQL is necessary.

• Experience with Node.js is a requirement.

• A comprehensive understanding of POS architecture, including transaction processing, payments, returns, promotions, receipts, and recovery workflows is crucial.

• Experience with POS integrations such as ERP, OMS, payment gateways, and eCommerce platforms is important.

• A strong background in production support, including incident management, major incident resolution, root cause analysis (RCA), problem management, and release/defect triage is needed.

• Familiarity with Vue.js, JavaScript, or TypeScript for frontend development is advantageous.

• Knowledge of omnichannel retail operations is beneficial.

• Experience with cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform is a plus.

• Exposure to monitoring and observability tools like Grafana, Dynatrace, Splunk, or CloudWatch is a plus.

• Understanding of Agile delivery methodologies and functional architecture is a plus.

• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and containerized application support is an advantage.

• Exceptional skills in stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving are required.
