German Interpreter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• The German Video-Telephone Interpreter is tasked with managing calls as they arise.

• Translates conversations between speakers of German and English.

• Quickly and concisely processes information while being aware of sensitive cultural nuances.

• Always upholds professionalism and courtesy.

• Responds promptly to video and audio interpreting sessions.

• Engages in training sessions.

• Provides interpretation services via video while inputting data on a designated device.

• Adheres to client instructions and refrains from communicating with the LEP without the client’s consent.

• Maintains reliability and availability during scheduled work hours.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency in both German and English, with a strong understanding of the related cultural dynamics.

• Capable of delivering cultural competency and identifying regional and accent variations.

• Exceptional listening, retention, and note-taking abilities.

• Ability to focus, remain detached from the conversation, and maintain neutrality and objectivity.

• Preferred education or experience in language-related fields.

• Must be at least 18 years old.

• Legally permitted to work in the United States.

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.

• Proficient in reading and writing the required languages – strongly preferred.
